surface, light and digital media

Virtual - Real

Digital projections onto surfaces and materials of various visual and tactile qualities such as textiles and foils - blurring the boundaries between the real and the virtual.

This experimental research focuses on the synthesis of digital imagery and physical surface, the interaction of light and material, and the visual ambiguities resulting from this. Mutable and ambiguous surfaces are created, which can be experienced on a visual and tactile level. Spatial encounters evolve that originate from the discipline of textile design but leave behind the limitations of the two-dimensional surface.
